WISER (Kenya) - February 2017

WISER is a girls-only boarding secondary school in Muhuru Bay, Kenya, a struggling rural community on Lake Victoria. After examining issues of universal education and gender equality, students spend nine days during February Academic Travel getting to know the community of Muhuru Bay, Kenya. They assist at local primary schools, educate the community on the benefits of purified water, help with HIV education through the READY program, and work closely with the WISER school.
